‘Touch the Sky’ Sculpture in Downtown Vacaville

A huge sculpture is on display in downtown Vacaville. The “Touch the Sky” sculpture is a creation of Artist Martin Taylor. The metal work of art illuminates at night and is on display on the School Street Bridge at the entrance to Andrews Park.

The City of Vacaville and Downtown Business Association worked with the artist to bring the sculpture to Vacaville for one year. There will be an unveiling ceremony on Wednesday, July 24th at 7:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Taylor describes his art as “metal origami.” Touch the Sky is made of stainless steel, steel with patina, and gold paint.

“Touch the Sky” was previously on display in Napa, CA.
