The Vacaville 4th of July Fireworks Show

Since I was a kid, I remember watching the 4th of July fireworks show in Vacaville. The City of Vacaville does not disappoint each year with a free fireworks show launched from Andrews Park in downtown. But the 4th of July festivities don’t stop with the patriotic spectacle of light.

Beginning at 6:30 PM, the Creekwalk Concert series kicks off at Andrews Park. This year, local county band Crossman Connection is providing their old-school country sound for the evening’s entertainment.

Watching the Fireworks

As soon as it gets dark, the fireworks show begins. If you’re not interested in the concert or the crowds, the Vacaville fireworks show is high enough it can be seen from many places within the city. You’ll see parking lots start filling up miles from the launch site with tailgaters and families ready to watch the show.

The reality is that finding parking downtown after the concert has begun will be very difficult. The City of Vacaville encourages use of the Japa smartphone app to locate parking.

What to Know if Attending the Show

If you plan on attending the show at Andrews Park, the City does not allow outside alcohol or glass containers. There is no smoking or weapons allowed in the park. Tents are prohibited as well as setting up chairs or blankets in advance of the show. No pets (except service animals) are allowed at the event.

The concert begins at 6:30 PM and the fireworks show will be just after it gets dark (usually around 9:00 PM).

If there is a red flag warning for high wind, the fireworks show may be cancelled for safety reasons.

Fireworks are Illegal in Vacaville

The City of Vacaville would like to remind you that all fireworks are illegal in Vacaville (even safe and sane fireworks). The free show provided by the Vacaville Parks and Recreation Department will be better than anything you’d be able to put together yourself!

Have fun, be safe and enjoy the show!
